Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur Wednesday visited Darul Uloom Haqqania in Akora Khattak to offer condolences following the tragic suicide blast that claimed the life of Maulana Hamidul Haq and other victims, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Accompanied by Advisor to Information Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, the Chief Minister met with the bereaved family of Maulana Hamidul Haq and offered prayers for the martyrs. He also inspected the mosque damaged in the explosion, condemning the attack as a heinous and deeply regrettable act.

"The martyrdom of Maulana Hamidul Haq is an irreparable loss," Gandapur said, adding that his religious and political services would be remembered for generations.

The Chief Minister announced the formation of a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to probe the incident and ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice. "A JIT statement will be issued in the coming days, and every effort will be made to uncover the roots of this tragic incident," he stated.

Gandapur assured that full financial assistance would be provided to the families of the martyrs and the injured. He emphasized the urgent need for serious measures to improve the security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the merged districts, warning that inaction could allow terrorism to spread nationwide.

"The people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, alongside our forces, are making continuous sacrifices in the fight against terrorism," he noted. "We must unite to eliminate this menace, and dialogue remains the most effective solution for lasting peace."

He also revealed that a jirga has been formed to engage with Afghanistan on counterterrorism efforts, but progress awaits federal approval of the Terms of Reference (TORs).

Gandapur reiterated that the martyrdom of Maulana Hamidul Haq would not go in vain and would serve as a rallying point for national unity against terrorism.
