The Punjab government has decided to take strict action under the Punjab Employees Efficiency, Discipline, and Accountability (PEDA) Act against education staff who remain absent from examination duty, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Punjab Education Minister has directed authorities to enforce a zero-tolerance policy against staff members failing to report for duty and has immediately sought lists of those refusing to comply.
The minister emphasized that under service rules, no government teacher is allowed to refuse examination duty, warning that strict disciplinary measures will be taken against violators.
