Senate session likely to start tomorrow

The federal government has decided to convene Senate session tomorrow (Thursday) to fulfill the constitutional requirement of the parliamentary year. 

A summary has been sent to the Presidency for calling the session on March 6 and it is likely that Senate session will be held at 11:30am tomorrow. 

According to the Constitution, the Senate must hold 110 days of sessions in a parliamentary year. So far, only 105 days have been completed. The new parliamentary year of the Senate will begin on March 12.
