KP government appoints vice chancellors for 16 public universities across the province

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced the appointment of vice chancellors for 16 public sector universities, a step aimed at ensuring academic stability and leadership across key institutions.

Professor Dr. Muhammad Ali has been appointed as the Vice Chancellor of Hazara University Mansehra, while Dr. Muhammad Tahir Khalili will take over the reins at Khushal Khan Khattak University Karak. At the University of Lakki Marwat, Dr. Aurangzeb Khan has been given the charge as VC, and Dr. Tahir Irfan will lead the Abbottabad University of Science and Technology.

In the engineering and technology domain, Dr. Gul Muhammad Khan has been appointed at University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Mardan, while Dr. Muhammad Siddique will serve as Vice Chancellor at UET Peshawar. Meanwhile, Dr. Dawood Jan will head the University of Agriculture Swat, and Dr. Shakibullah has been chosen for Veterinary and Animal Sciences University Swat.

Other key appointments include Dr. Sardar Khan at the University of Shangla, Dr. Johar Ali at the University of Peshawar, and Dr. Jamil Ahmed at Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan. Dr. Saeed Bacha will lead University Nowshera, while Dr. Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan will serve at the University of Science and Technology Bannu.

In a strong signal of gender representation, Dr. Ghazala Yasmin has been appointed as the Vice Chancellor of Women University Swabi. Dr. Zahoor-ul-Haq will take over Bacha Khan University Charsadda, and Dr. Syed Zafar Ilyas has been assigned to University of Science and Technology Kohat.
