The Sindh cabinet has approved allocation of 500 acres of land for building a mega cemetery in Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The cabinet meeting chaired by Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, which was held in Karachi on Tuesday, gave approval considering urgent need for burial space in provincial capital.
According to Sindh CM’s spokesperson, the cabinet decided that land will be allocated for cemetery in Deh Mitha Ghar of Malir district.
Land cost per acre for mega cemetery set at Rs13.5 million i.e. Rs6,750 million in total.
The cabinet approved that land will be handed over to the Local Government Department.
The cabinet also decided to activate Sindh Electric Power Regulatory Authority.
