The sisters of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan on Tuesday refused to leave outside Adiala Jail, saying they would stay until they are allowed to meet their incarcerated brother, 24NewsHD TV reported.

Speaking to media persons, Aleema Khan said she and her two sisters, along with party workers, would not return home until they were granted a meeting with the former prime minister.

She alleged that they had not been allowed to see him for the past six to seven months.

“Our only demand is that he should be immediately shifted to a hospital and given complete medical treatment,” she said, expressing concern over his health.

Aleema added that PTI lawmakers, including senators, members of the National Assembly (MNAs), and provincial assembly members (MPAs), as well as party leaders, had been asked to reach the jail.

She said the aim was to build pressure so that pending appeals of the PTI founder and his wife are taken up for a hearing.

“No matter who supports us or not, we are his sisters and we will continue our struggle for him,” she said.

Responding to a question about whether the PTI founder would celebrate recent developments if he were free, Khan said his continued detention had effectively “silenced the voice of the nation.”

She claimed that the public stood firmly behind him and was waiting for his release.
