The idea that the pursuit of knowledge is alive, even handcuffs cannot block the path, became true when two prisoners reached an examination hall to appear in the ongoing 9th-class annual examinations in Muzaffargarh, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

According to details, both prisoners identified as Hammad and Asmat are imprisoned in District Jail Muzaffargarh in a murder case.

Both prisoners were brought to the examination hall amid tight security and with handcuffs. Later, they appeared in the examinations.

Earlier in April 2026, a 55-year-old man, Ghulam Qadir, appeared in the Class 9 examinations in Muzaffargarh, presenting what he described as a message that education is not restricted by age.

Speaking to the media, Qadir said his children had completed their education and encouraged him to resume his own studies.

He said their support played an important role in his decision to return to the classroom and appear in the school examination.

Qadir said he remains committed to continuing his education despite earlier disappointments.

He shared that he had failed the matriculation examination twice in the past, but said those setbacks did not cause him to give up on his goal of studying further.
