An unusual theft occurred near Kila Kalarwala in Narowal, where a thief stole a motorcycle and then hid it in a tree near the owner's house, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.
According to the details, the bizarre hiding spot was discovered when some children passing nearby noticed the motorcycle among the branches and raised an alarm.
The children's shouts drew the attention of local residents, who rushed to the scene and managed to bring the motorcycle down from the tree.
According to the residents, the motorcycle had been stolen a day ago from outside a citizen’s home in the area of Kila Kalarwala.
Interestingly, the area has recently gained a reputation for strange and unconventional criminal activities.
Just a month ago, on October 8, police in Narowal recovered a large quantity of liquor that was being transported in an ambulance.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, a police team stationed at the Narowal–Sialkot railway crossing checkpost signalled a suspicious ambulance to stop.
During a detailed search, officers discovered 115 bottles of expensive wine hidden inside the vehicle.
The police subsequently arrested the driver and registered a case against him.
