It was revealed that a case was registered against a deceased citizen on the information of the accused arrested at Garh Maharaja police station in Jhang, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
According to the report, the investigating officer registered an FIR against Shah Bahram, a citizen for aerial firing, who died five years ago.
DPO Jhang Captain (retd) Bilal Iftikhar Kiani sought an immediate report on the incident.
The DPO suspended the investigating officer, Imran Anjum, and issued a charge sheet.
According to the police spokesperson, the arrested accused, Yousuf and Faraya,d provided false information to the police.
The police registered a case on the false information provided by the accused.
During the investigation, a case of concealing the identity of the accused came to light, which was corrected in the supplementary.
Registering a case without investigation is intolerable negligence, DPO Bilal Iftikhar Kiani said.
He said discipline is the top priority in the police force.
