Preparations have been completed in Kuala Lumpur for the official visit of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif to Malaysia from October 5 to 7, 2025, at the invitation of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, according to official sources.
The highways of Kuala Lumpur have been decorated with Pakistani and Malaysian flags to welcome the Prime Minister and his delegation.
According to the Foreign Office, the Prime Minister will be accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, several federal ministers, and senior government officials.
During the visit, the two prime ministers will hold bilateral talks and discuss measures to enhance cooperation in trade, investment, information technology, the halal industry, education, energy, and the digital economy. They are also expected to review key regional and global developments.
Officials said the two leaders are likely to witness the signing of agreements and memorandums of understanding in several existing and new sectors to expand collaboration.
The visit is being regarded as the beginning of a new phase in Pakistan–Malaysia relations, reflecting the strong and enduring strategic partnership rooted in mutual respect, shared interests, and close cooperation.
The Foreign Office said the visit underscores Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening ties with Malaysia and promoting peace, stability, trade, and sustainable development in the region.
