According to sources, students of Federal Urdu University have been waiting for convocation for the past thirteen years.
Several letters have also been written to the Chancellor by students regarding the governance issues and financial matters of the university.
The Ministry of Education has also failed to resolve the governance issues and financial matters of the university.
The teaching and non-teaching staff of the university have been deprived of salaries for several months.
According to university professor Atiya Rasool, the university staff has also been deprived of allowance for the past one year due to mismanagement by the university administration.
Grants for three campuses of University have not been increased for the last six years.
Using delaying tactics, students were asked to hold convocation in October.
