All grid stations in Makran Division were shut down after two heavy transmission lines from Iran tripped, 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Sunday.
According to the channel, key areas including Gwadar Port, New Gwadar Airport, Turbat, Hoshab, Panjgur, and Jiwani were affected.
The QESCO spokesperson said efforts are underway, and Iranian authorities have been contacted to restore the disrupted power supply as soon as possible.
The unexpected blackout has severely affected daily life and operations in the strategic coastal region of Balochistan.
