Rejecting an increase in the fee charged from the students for appearing in the MDCAT admission test, the Young Doctors Association (YDA) has said receiving Rs8,000 from each candidate is unacceptable, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
The Association has demanded a review of the decision to hike the fee.
It has said that at a time when people are already facing a financial crisis and massive inflation, charging such an amount from the students is unbearable. There is no justification for charging Rs8,000 from competent candidates, the YDA has said, adding that such a decision will put a burden on the purses of these students’ families.
The Association has stressed the need for preferring education to monetary benefits.
