The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has unearthed a major international human trafficking network in a high-stakes operation conducted in Peshawar.
Acting on intelligence, FIA officials raided the Danes Trade Centre, leading to the arrest of the prime suspect, Saddam, and the seizure of fake documents, Pakistani passports, and illegal smuggling contracts.
According to FIA sources, two other suspects — Darakhsh Khan and his accomplice Ilyas Khan — were also taken into custody during the crackdown.
In a significant breakthrough, Adil alias Sher Khan, a key figure in the network operating from Libya, was also arrested in Peshawar. Adil was allegedly involved in transporting individuals to Europe using Umrah visas as cover for illegal migration.
A case has been registered against Adil under FIR No. 135/2025, incorporating multiple charges related to human trafficking and document fraud. FIA officials confirmed that investigations are ongoing and more arrests are expected as the agency expands its probe into the international ring.
