Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has said that government was committed to work for the betterment of the masses especially the poor classes and in this respect government released Rs74 billions interest free loans for the poor people who were without houses, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
Addressing a ceremony regarding Apna Ghar and Apni Chat Scheme, CM Maryam said she was pleased that record 62500 houses were built by poor classes across the Punjab with theses interests free loans.
CM Maryam said in next phase the government was launching “Apna Ghar and Apni Zamin programme” in 19 districts where poor people, who have no land and no fund, will be offered houses. She said government will trying its best to facilitate the masses. Due to government’s public friendly policies, the change was being felt in all fronts.
Maryam said economy was improving which was being lauded by the rating agencies. She said under Punjab development plan, the sewerage and drainage system were being resolved in various cities.
She said government was committed to provide portable water to the people of South Punjab and upper Punjab areas at a cost of billion of rupees. She said 24000 villages are being built as model villages. CM Maryam said 100 electric buses were being introduced across Punjab where passengers will avail best transport services at Rs20 rent.
Punjab CM claimed Pakistan was also making progress on diplomatic fronts.
Talking about PTI protest call, Cm Maryam said the people were aware of the anti-state and fitna politics of the opposition therefore public rejected their protest call.
The CM claimed now labourers were building houses and she was being briefed on daily basis in the form of video.
She said labourer will return the loan in 9 years. CM said free medicine and mobile police stations were being set up across the province. She said caner, heart and hepatitis patients were receiving free medicines at their door steps and 10000 clinic on wheels were working on daily basis. The CM said the government was trying to end the deprivation of the backward areas. She said in order to curb crime, crime control department has done good job as now criminals were seeking pardon.
