Katie Price has reportedly been left feeling ‘isolated and disregarded’ amid an ongoing rift with her daughter, Princess Andre, after being banned from appearing in the teenager’s new ITV reality series.
The 46-year-old former glamour model, who shares Princess with ex-husband Peter Andre, is said to be heartbroken after ITV2 executives blocked her from making a cameo in Princess’s new fly-on-the-wall show, which aired this week.
According to The Sun, the mother-daughter relationship has grown tense, with Princess, now 18, allegedly being advised to keep her distance from Katie publicly, even though they remain in contact privately.
A source revealed: “Katie feels isolated and disregarded. She loves Princess so much and is supremely proud of the young woman she’s becoming.”
Katie reportedly hoped to help Princess navigate the entertainment industry, but producers made it clear she would not be involved in the series, which is being produced by Peter’s management company, Can Associates.
In private conversations, Katie has even compared her emotional state to Brooklyn Beckham’s, referencing his strained relationship with the Beckham family amid his marriage to Nicola Peltz.
“She feels a bit like Brooklyn Beckham, with no one in the Andre family really speaking to her,” the source added.
Tensions escalated after Katie was also barred from Princess’s 18th birthday celebrations, which were being filmed for the show.
While Princess celebrated with her father, stepmother Emily, and brother Junior, Katie was left out, something she later addressed on social media, sharing cryptic posts like ‘I love my daughters and my daughters will always be my little princesses.”
She also shared an early birthday tribute to Princess, but was forced to delete it after posting it two days too soon.
Meanwhile, Princess has spoken candidly in her new documentary, revealing that she wished she had a “happier childhood” and struggled during her mother’s highly publicised breakups.
“I had so many things on my plate at a young age,” she said, adding that she still occasionally sees a counsellor and prefers to journal her thoughts.
Katie addressed the drama in her Katie Price Show podcast, saying: “Princess is now officially an adult, so mummy and Princess can now go out together, if certain people would let her be seen with me.”
