What could be termed a major step towards the introduction of a modern airport infrastructure in the country, the construction of the pavement quality concrete (PQC) of the main runway at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport has been completed before time, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
According to the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA), the construction of the PQC has been completed in only seven months.
The PAA has further said that all items required for the installation of the airfield lighting system have been received, and that the installation has started.
The Authority has further said that similarly, work on the runway center line and taxiway marking is also in progress.
