West Indies has unveiled a 15-member squad for the upcoming three-match home ODI series against Pakistan, set to take place from August 8 to 12 at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba, Trinidad, 24NewsHD TV reported on Wednesday.
The hosts made only one change from the squad that toured the UK earlier this year, with pace spearhead Alzarri Joseph being rested to manage workload. Romario Shepherd returned to the ODI setup after missing the England & Ireland series.
West Indies head coach Daren Sammy emphasized the importance of the series for ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027 qualification.
"Pakistan presents a different test and challenge as we continue our push for automatic qualification for the 2027 World Cup," Sammy stated.
"While qualifying is our immediate goal, maintaining a winning mentality and team cohesion is essential for long-term success."
