Several projects were approved in the provincial cabinet meeting chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif in Lahore on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The meeting was informed that after 30 years, crimes like kidnapping for ransom have been eliminated in the Kacha area and the crime rate in the Kacha area has remained zero since last November
The cabinet gave approval of special concessional package for the youth of Rojhan in police recruitment.
The cabinet also gave approval of Rs 1.1 billion for weapons and other protective equipment for the police in the Kacha area.
The cabinet gave approval of hard area allowance for personnel deployed in the Kacha area.
Relaxation in rules for giving martyr package to the police martyrs of Kacha area was also approved.
Meeting was informed that 30 thousand lots under Apna Khet Apna Rozgar have been allotted with letters.
More than 171,000 people applied under Apna Khet Apna Rozgar and 60,000 declared eligible.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif directed to encourage and support wheat sowing across the province.
She directed to link the Literacy Department with the Education Department and make it subordinate to the Minister for Education.
The cabinet also approved recruitment of 900 Union Council secretaries in the province.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif sought report on government shops across the province.
Provincial cabinet appreciated advance measures for monsoon rains and urban flooding.
