Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is due to leave for Saudi Arabia today on a two-day official visit, during which he will hold a meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS).
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the PM and the crown prince are expected to discuss the evolving situation in the region alongside a range of bilateral and international issues.
During the visit, the Prime Minister will meet senior Saudi leaders for detailed discussions on strengthening bilateral relations, expanding investment opportunities and enhancing cooperation between the two countries.
The talks will also cover global developments and regional ones, especially the situation in the Middle East, with both sides expected to exchange views on matters of mutual interest.
In addition to discussions on regional and international affairs, the two delegations will explore ways to deepen economic cooperation and promote greater Saudi investment in Pakistan.
Strengthening long-standing ties between the two countries is also expected to feature prominently in the meetings.
According to sources, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has also convened an important meeting at 11:00 am today to review preparations for his Saudi Arabia visit.
He is expected to receive a detailed briefing on the visit's agenda, planned meetings and other key issues. Senior federal ministers and high-ranking government officials will attend the preparatory session.
