Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) head Maulana Fazlur Rehman said they have run a movement together with the Nawaz League so now will go into seat adjustments with them.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, he talked to the media after attending a meeting of the Wifaqul Madaris Al-Arabia (WMA) as a Petron-in-Chief on Tuesday.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman said obstacles in the Madrasa system should be removed and a law for the registration of madaris should be introduced.
Answering different questions, the JUI chief said they were ready to go to the polls but the environment should be provided for elections in the country.
He said two provinces are currently in the grip of terrorism while there are no police in Dera Ismail Khan, Tank and Lucky Marwat and his party workers are being martyred. He raised the question of whether can there be elections in this situation of unrest.
Criticizing Imran Khan's party, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), he said it was not a party but a balloon out of which the air came out.
He added that people whose loyalties are changing were forcibly brought into PTI in the past.
replying to a query about the next prime minister, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said the PM will be what the people want. He added that they were subject to principles and wanted to follow principles.
