However, it was the omission of her surname “Bachchan” in the event’s official Instagram post that sparked a wave of speculation.
The post displayed her name as “Aishwarya Rai, International Star,” leading some to believe she may have dropped her husband’s surname.
News18 later clarified that Aishwarya’s verified Instagram account still lists her as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, confirming that her full name remains unchanged. Some speculated that the omission was a professional choice to emphasize her individual identity rather than a personal decision.
