PM assures Maulana Fazl of removing all reservations over Madaris Bill

Prime Minister Shehbaz rang up JUI chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Friday and assured him of removing all his reservations regarding Madaris Registration Bill, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The phone call came hours after JUI issued a deadline and threatened to launch a march on Islamabad after the Madaris Registration Bill does not become a law.

During the telephonic conversation, Maulana Fazl conveyed his party’s reservations to the prime minister over the bill.

The JUI chief cautioned the government to refrain from making the bill controversial.

JUI gives Dec 8 deadline to govt

Earlier in the day, the JUI gave the government December 8 deadline to pass the madrassah bill.

JUI Senator Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri said that in case of government’s failure to pass the bill then they have no other option but to march towards Islamabad.

Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri further said that they are religious people and don’t want to move towards Islamabad because their country cannot afford such kind of situation.

He said that the current government wanted to create differences among religious parties and forcing them to march towards Islamabad. He said that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari assured him that he will definitely raise the issue with his father President Asif Ali Zardari to get the parliament’s nod about the bill.

He said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman will take a final decision regarding march towards Islamabad. He said that this bill not only belonged to JUI but it has representation of all madaris.
