Water supply from Khanpur Dam to Rawalpindi and Islamabad will be affected for 10 days due to de-silting work, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
According to a notification issued by Capital Development Authority (CDA), Khanpur Dam will be thoroughly cleaned from February 10 to 19.
Islamabad's Sector D-12, G-10, G-11, F-10, F-11 and Sector G-9 will be affected due to water supply issue.
Water supply will also be affected in several areas of Rawalpindi including Dhok Hasso, Ratta Amaral, Pirwadhai and Fauji Colony.
Islamabad will be given 5.5 million gallons less water per day while Rawalpindi will be given 13 million gallons less water per day from Khanpur Dam.
CDA advised citizens to use minimum water and store water during this period.
