The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday disposed of a contempt of court petition against the DC, DIG Operations and CTO when the DC presented in the court a report from the Punjab government in which it was informed that the permission had been granted for the Aurat March in Lahore on February 12, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The court was told that in this connection, a letter had been written to the DIG Operations Faisal Kamran, the CTO Azhar Waheed and SP Civil Lines Dr. Abdul Hanan for the provision of foolproof security to the participants of the march.
Justice Anwaar Hussain heard the petition filed by Leena Ghani, Neelum Hussain, Fatima Jan and Shireen Umair.
The march will start from the Press Club at Shimla Paharri and culminate at Egerton Road.
