24 Indian-sponsored terrorists eliminated in two KP operations

Members of the security forces eliminated 24 Indian-sponsored terrorists in two intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

As many as 14 terrorists belonging to Indian proxy Fitna al-Khwarij were killed in an intelligence-based operation launched by security forces personnel in Orakzai District. Another 10 terrorists killed in an operation in Khyber District.

According to an ISPR statement released on Friday, on 4-5 February 2026, 24 khwarij belonging to Indian proxy Fitna al-Khwarij were killed in two separate engagements in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

On reported presence of khwarij, an intelligence-based operation was conducted by the security forces personnel in Orakzai District. During the conduct of the operation, own troops effectively engaged the khwarij location and after an intense fire exchange, 14 khwarij were sent to hell.

Another intelligence-based operation by the security forces personnel was conducted in Khyber District. In ensuing fire exchange, 10 more khwarij were effectively neutralised.

Sanitization operations were being conducted to eliminate any other Indian-sponsored kharji found in the area as relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under vision “Azm e Istehkam” (as approved by Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by the security forces and law-enforcement agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out menace of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.

President, PM, interior minister praise security forces

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday paid tribute to the security forces for carrying out successful intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, killing 24 terrorists.

The president and prime minister, in their separately issued statements, appreciated the officers and personnel of the security forces for their professional capabilities and bravery in successful operations against Fitna al-Khawarij in Orakzai and Khyber districts.

President Zardari said that the war against terrorism, fueled by external interference, was continuing successfully.

He reaffirmed that the fight against terrorism would continue until the menace was completely eradicated from the country.

Prime Minister Shehbaz also reiterated the government’s resolve to continue the war against terrorism until its complete elimination.

He said that under the vision of Azm-e-Istehkam, the entire nation stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the security forces in unwavering determination to thwart the nefarious designs of terrorists.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has lauded Pakistan’s security forces for their successful counter-terrorism operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, acknowledging their swift action and professional excellence in neutralising 24 militants linked to the Kharijite extremist network.

In a statement, Naqvi said the forces “thwarted the nefarious objectives of the terrorists through timely and decisive action,” adding that the nation highly values their sacrifices and commitment to restoring peace in the region.

The interior minister reiterated that security operations will continue “until the complete eradication of the Indian-backed Kharijite terrorist elements.”

Naqvi emphasised that maintaining peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa remains a top priority and praised the ongoing efforts of security forces in combating militancy.
