Bollywood actor Aishwarya Rai marked a milestone moment for her husband Abhishek Bachchan as he turned 50, choosing an intimate and nostalgic way to celebrate the day on social media. On Thursday, she took to Instagram to share a childhood photograph of Abhishek, instantly drawing attention and warmth from fans.
The image was a tightly cropped black-and-white throwback that focused only on the eyes of a baby Abhishek Bachchan, staring directly into the camera. Along with the photo, Aishwarya poured her affection into a heartfelt message. She captioned the post, "(Heart with ribbon and glowing star emojis) Happy HAPPY 50th Birthday dearest Babyyy-Papa."
She continued her wishes with another emotional note, writing, "(Nazar amulet, birthday cake, hug face and sparkling heart emojis) with lots of love, peace, happiness, contentment and best health God Blesssss (sparkles emoji) Stay Golden… Shine on Love (face with three hearts, red heart and sparkles emojis)."

Earlier in the day, Abhishek’s father, legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan, also addressed the outpouring of birthday wishes. He shared a message on his blog thanking everyone who had sent greetings to his son. He wrote, "To all that send greetings for Abhishek on his 50th birthday, may I express my extreme gratitude and love ..Your blessings give him courage and strength to keep moving..Affection and love."
This was not the first time Aishwarya dipped into nostalgia for Abhishek’s birthday. Last year as well, she had shared a childhood photo of him and accompanied it with the message, "Here’s wishing you a Happy Birthday with happiness, good health, love and light. God Bless."
Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan were married in 2007 and welcomed their daughter Aaradhya in November 2011. The trio are often seen traveling together and spending time as a family. Last year, they flew out of Mumbai ahead of Christmas and New Year celebrations, and they also vacationed together in August 2025.
On the professional front, Aishwarya was last seen in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan: II, released in 2023, and has not yet announced her next project. Abhishek was most recently seen in Madhumita’s Kaalidhar Laapata, which also featured Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub and Daivik Bhagela. He is set to appear next in Siddharth Anand’s King, sharing the screen with Shah Rukh Khan, Suhana Khan, and others.
