Pakistan’s forex reserves edge up to $21.34 billion

Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves showed a slight increase, with the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) reporting a $56 million rise in its own reserves, bringing them to $16.157 billion.

Meanwhile, reserves held by commercial banks declined by $11 million, standing at $5.18 billion. Overall, the country’s total foreign exchange reserves rose by $45 million, reaching $21.339 billion, according to the State Bank.

The modest increase comes amid ongoing efforts to stabilize the economy and manage external financial obligations.
