Thick fog severely affected flight operation at Faisalabad International Airport on Tuesday, as several international and domestic flights of different airlines were delayed for hours, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to details, several flights were delayed, which were scheduled to take off from Faisalabad to Dubai, Sharjah, Jeddah, Abu Dhabi, and Karachi.
A two-way flight of Flydubai FZ381/92 was delayed for two hours. The flight was scheduled to land in Dubai from Faisalabad.
Another two-way flight of Air Arabia G9 572/63 was delayed for several hours. The flight was scheduled to depart from Faisalabad to Sharjah.
A large number of passengers faced difficulties at the airports as fog disrupted flights.
Airport sources said flight schedules were adjusted as a safety measure, adding that operations would gradually resume once visibility improves.
Passengers were advised to stay in contact with their respective airlines for updated departure timings.
