In a rare turn for one of India’s most bankable stars, Aamir Khan steps out of the limelight in the film Sitaare Zameen Par and, according to the Hollywood Reporter, the results are luminous.
Marking nearly four decades in cinema, Aamir Khan, known for his transformative roles and socially conscious storytelling, serves more as a guiding force than a leading man in this spiritual successor to his 2007 hit Taare Zameen Par.
The spotlight belongs to a dynamic ensemble of mostly first-time actors, all of whom are neurodivergent, and all of whom deliver standout performances.
Directed by RS Prasanna, the film leans into raw authenticity. A standout scene features a disarmingly honest exchange about a girlfriend who is a sex worker. It was delivered with such clarity and compassion it lingers long after the credits roll.
