Pakistani actor, writer and filmmaker Amar Khan has sparked a new debate on social media after sharing a video highlighting the role money plays in a modern society.
The actor reposted a video to her Instagram story, featuring a young boy working in heavy rain while cleaning the front tyre of a white car.
The clip was accompanied by a poignant voiceover that said, "A man is not defined as a man… money is what makes a man."
Amar captioned the post simply with the word "Reality," followed by a bandage and pink heart emoji.
Fans in the comments section compared "money man to women", saying women are also "mard" (man) of their house.
Amar Khan is a Pakistani actor, screenwriter and director who made her acting debut in 2017.
She rose to prominence with dramas including Belapur Ki Dayan, Qayamat, Dil-e-Gumshuda, Dania and Sunn Mere Dil.
She also co-produced, wrote and starred in the film Dum Mastam and has earned recognition for her work behind the camera as a filmmaker and screenwriter.
