Acclaimed Pakistani actress Hajra Yamin has shared an inspiring perspective on female empowerment, revealing that one of her greatest achievements is earning the trust and support of women. The actress said she now sees it as her responsibility to pave the way for the next generation of girls and actresses to achieve even greater success.
During her latest appearance on ‘Something Haute’, hosted by Aamna Isani, Hajra candidly spoke about how fortunate she feels to have women as her strongest supporters and allies.
Reflecting on her journey, she shared:
"I have always wanted women as my allies, and over the last couple of years, I can see that I've developed that connection with my audience. I consider myself truly lucky to have achieved it."
She went on to explain how meaningful that support has become in her life.
"When women wave at me, watch my work, and support me, it's the best kind of support you can have even when it comes from your audience. Now I feel that it has become a responsibility."
Hajra credited the actresses who came before her for creating opportunities for younger artists and said she hopes to continue that legacy.
"The actresses before me our seniors subconsciously kept creating a path that has made all of this possible. I want to do the same for the girls who come after me. I want those who follow me to achieve even more than I have."
Speaking about her vision, Hajra added that she wants women to continue uplifting one another and creating more space for themselves in every field.
"I want to build a legacy and, as I say, 'world domination' for women. It's as simple as that. We are allies of other women, and if we continue growing this circle, we'll have more seats at the table. So why not? I'm fortunate to have the perfect support system around me the kind of system that has always been there to lift me up."
