Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has directed foolproof security arrangements during the Eidul Azha holidays, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In a statement issued in Lahore on Friday, Chief Minister Maryam directed that security should be increased at cattle markets as well.
She emphasized effective traffic management near cattle markets in major cities.
She directed that the implementation of fixed transport fares must be ensured in every city. Fare lists and fitness certificates should be displayed on bus windshields. She ordered strict action against those charging excessive fares and directed that any overcharged amounts be refunded.
She directed livestock officials to ensure their presence in cattle markets.
