Former federal minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Khawaja Saad Rafique was rushed to the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) after experiencing irregular heartbeats, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Friday.
According to hospital sources, Saad Rafique complained of discomfort due to an abnormal heart rhythm.
He was promptly brought to the PIC in Lahore, where a team of doctors conducted medical tests and a routine check-up to assess his condition.
Following a thorough evaluation, doctors at the cardiology institute diagnosed the issue as non-critical.
They prescribed necessary medications and advised rest.
After ensuring there were no immediate complications, Saad Rafique was discharged from the hospital with medical instructions to manage his health.
Former federal minister Khawaja Saad Rafique has broken his silence regarding his health scare, confirming that he experienced a sudden episode of illness during Friday prayer.
Taking to the social media platform Facebook, Saad Rafique informed his followers and the public that his condition deteriorated unexpectedly while offering Friday prayers. "Today, during the Friday congregation, I suddenly felt unwell," the senior PML-N leader stated.
He also thanked his party workers, friends, and family members who expressed their concern regarding his health condition.
