Gunmen loyal to ousted Syrian president Bashar al-Assad killed seven members of the country's new security forces and wounded 11 on Thursday, a war monitor said.
"Seven members of the security forces were killed and 11 wounded in attacks and ambushes launched by gunmen loyal to Assad in the town of Jableh" and nearby areas of Latakia province, which has seen clashes and helicopter strikes, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.
