LCCI holds certificate ceremony for Russian language course students

A certificate distribution ceremony was held at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) upon the completion of the quarterly Russian Language Course organized by the Chamber.

The event was chaired by Prof Dr. Ashraf Nizami, CEO of the Honorary Consulate of the Russian Federation in Lahore.

The chief guest on the occasion was Dr Shahid Hasan, Russian Ambassador for Education and Science and Chairman of the Association of Pakistani Graduates from Russia and CIS.

Also present at the ceremony were LCCI President Faheem ur Rehman Saigal, Senior Vice President Tanveer Ahmad Sheikh, and Vice President and Convener of the Standing Committee on Language Courses Khurram Lodhi, who distributed certificates among the successful students of the course.

Addressing the ceremony, Dr. Shahid Hasan, Russian Ambassador for Science and Education, congratulated the organizers of the program and said that the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry is the only chamber of commerce in Pakistan where the Russian language is being taught.

He said that learning the language of any country means strengthening friendship with that country, understanding its culture and civilization, and gaining insight into its society and economy.

Khurram Lodhi said that the purpose of teaching the Russian language is not only to promote friendly relations with Russia and its associated states but also to enhance business ties. 

In his presidential address, Prof Dr Ashraf Nizami said that by learning the Russian language one can connect with half of the world.

He noted that Russians are open-hearted and generous people who believe in humanity and human welfare. 

On this occasion, Dr. Shahid Hasan and Professor Dr. Ashraf Nizami, on behalf of the Association of Pakistani Graduates from Russia and CIS, presented shields and certificates to LCCI President Faheem ur Rehman Saigal, Senior Vice President Tanveer Qureshi, Vice President Khurram Lodhi, and Russian language instructor Imtiaz-ul-Haq.
