Ex-Pakistan armed forces’ men on Tuesday said that they would fight alongside the serving personnel in case war broke out between India and Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Major General (r) Javed Aslam Tahir said all two million retired servicemen were ready to respond to the army chief’s call and defend the country.
He said that the Pahalgam attack was in fact a false flag operation by India. “Indian forces are violating human rights in the occupied Kashmir,” he said, and added that ex-servicemen would not shy away from giving any sacrifice in the defence of the motherland.
“We will give a befitting reply to any misadventure by India,” the retired general said, adding, “What we are today is because of Pakistan.”
Air Vice Marshal (r) Faheem Arshad said the entire world was familiar with the expertise of the Pakistan Air Force.
He added that the Pahalgam was not the only false flag operation carried out by India. “The fact of the matter is that India has the habit of staging such dramas.”
Major General (r) Khalid Jaffery said that ex-servicemen stood shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces for the country’s defence. “We are fully prepared,” he said, adding, “And we can complete any task.”
Brigadier (r) Muhammad Zareen Khan demanded that the people of Kashmir be given the right to self-determination. “Atrocities being committed by the Indian forces against Kashmiris must come to an end.”
