Jailed former prime minister Imran Khan categorically said on Tuesday that the controversial mines and minerals bill would not be table in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly in any case.
Quoting Khan after their meeting with him in Adiala Jail, his sisters Noreen Niazi and Dr Uzma said that he was upset about KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur’s long absence and he asked that why he was not coming to see him in jail. They said Imran Khan was of the view that his entire cabinet would go to see Nawaz Sharif in jail when he was imprisoned, then why Gandapur was not coming to see him.
Addressing the media after their meeting, Khan’s sisters led by Aleema Khan, who was not allowed to see Khan, said that they asked Khan not to meet those whose names were not on the list of visitors. Aleema said her sisters told Khan that those who come to see you twist your statements when they meet the media outside the jail.
She said her sisters also told Khan that his social media account was being used to promote some vloggers and he said that he did not say any such thing. She said that those who met Khan in the jail over the last 10 days lied to the media about his statements. She said they would make sure Khan’s social media account is not misused.
