As many as five people were dead and another received serious bullet wounds when a man opened indiscriminate fire on his nephew and his friends due to an old enmity in Nowshera Virkan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
The incident took place in Artali Vikran area located in the jurisdiction of Titlay Aaly when accused namely Imran Sheru shot dead his nephew Usman Virk, his three friends and a gunman.
The deceased were later identified as Usman son of Sarfraz Virk aged 28, 28-year-old Waqas, 40-year-old Imran Ashiq, 18-year-old Umar son of Abdul Majeed and Afzal.
Soon after receiving the report of the incident Rescue 1122 team reached the spot and shifted the dead and injured person to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital (THQ) Nowshera Virkan
DSP and SHO Nowshera Virkan along with a heavy contingent of police also reached the spot.
CPO Gujranwala Muhammad Ayaz Salim took notice of the murders and sought a report from SP Saddar.
Later, the killer of five people, Imran Virk, was killed in an alleged police encounter, during which Tatlay Aalay SHO Safdar Ata was also seriously injured.
