Chairing a special meeting, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif reviewed all health projects in details across the province.
Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education gave a detailed briefing on all ongoing and new projects in the meeting.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif directed to purchase state-of-the-art medical equipment for government hospitals.
The meeting agreed on proposal to establish School of Paramedics in Nawaz Sharif Medical District and also decided to establish Institute of Genetic and Blood Diseases in Nawaz Sharif Medical District.
Surgical Orthopaedic Medicine Rehabilitation will be established in Nawaz Sharif Medical District.
The Chief Minister directed to complete Lady Wellington Hospital project in six months.
The Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also ordered to take steps for timely completion of under-completion projects.
The Chief Minister also directed to release funds for completion of Children’s Hospital in Rawalpindi.
Maryam Nawaz ordered to obtain the services of the best doctor for Children’s Hospital Rawalpindi.
She directed to provide the latest medical equipment on priority considering the needs of patients.
It was decided in-principle to establish Cardiology Center in every prominent city.
The Chief Minister instructed that focus should be on early completion of more than 60 percent complete projects saying delays in health projects cause public hardship and also increase costs.
