Popular singer Asim Azhar congratulated cricket star Babar Azam following his landmark victory in PSL 11, marking a major achievement in his captaincy career.
Taking to Instagram, Asim Azhar reshared a story featuring Babar Azam holding the PSL trophy. Expressing his excitement, the singer wrote a mix of Urdu and English caption: “han jee? kar liya phir iss king ne mubarak @babarazam onwards & upwards only ” which translates to celebrating Babar’s success and wishing him continued progress and greatness.
To amplify the celebratory mood, Asim also used the track “Final Countdown” by Serge Villiers in the background of his story, adding a high-energy and triumphant tone to the moment.
The victory holds special significance for Babar Azam as it marks his first-ever PSL title as captain. Leading Peshawar Zalmi, he guided the team to their second championship win, ending a nine-year wait since their inaugural title in 2017.
Peshawar Zalmi delivered an outstanding performance throughout the tournament, losing only a single match in the entire season. Babar Azam also emerged as the highest run-scorer of PSL 11, amassing an impressive 588 runs.
In the final, Peshawar Zalmi secured victory against debutants Hyderabad Kingsmen by five wickets, capping off a dominant and memorable campaign.
