Bangladesh wrapped up a comprehensive 3–0 series victory against Afghanistan after securing a convincing six-wicket win in the third and final T20 International at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Sunday.
Opting to bowl first, Bangladesh’s disciplined attack once again proved too strong for the Afghan lineup, restricting them to a modest total of 143 for nine in their allotted 20 overs.
Afghanistan’s innings never gained real momentum as wickets fell at regular intervals, with only Darwish Rasooli (32) and Sediqullah Atal (28) offering resistance against the tight Bangladeshi bowling.
In reply, Bangladesh comfortably chased down the target in 18 overs, finishing at 144 for four.
Opening batter Saif Hassan played a match-winning knock, remaining unbeaten on 64 runs off just 38 deliveries.
His explosive innings featured two boundaries and seven towering sixes, ensuring a commanding finish to the chase.
Earlier, Bangladesh won the first game by four wickets before clinching a hard-fought two-wicket victory in the second match.
The clean sweep was their only second against Afghanistan—the last one came in the two-match home series in 2023.
Earlier, pacer Mohammad Saifuddin played the vital role in restricting Afghanistan to modest total by claiming 3-15. Tanzim Hasan Sakib and Nasum Ahmed took two wickets apiece.
