Persistent rain in Lahore on Monday has forced the Pakistan Test squad to conduct its training sessions indoors, as the outfield remained too wet for outdoor practice, 24NewsHD TV reported.

It is noteworthy, the national players have intensified their preparations for the upcoming Test series against South Africa, with a training camp currently underway at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore.

On Monday, the coaching staff and management shifted the focus of the day’s training to fitness drills, net sessions, and strategic planning under controlled indoor conditions.

Despite the weather interruption, the camp has continued smoothly, allowing players to maintain rhythm and cohesion ahead of the challenging home series against the Proteas.

According to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the training camp will continue until October 8, during which both senior and emerging players will participate in skill-building and conditioning sessions.

Team management is also using this period to assess form and fitness before finalizing the playing XI for the upcoming matches.
