Punjab government has decided to abolish law which allows granting permanent status to contract employees and after it no contract employee will be able to get permanent status in any of the government depart, reported 24 NewsHD TV channel.
According to details, Punjab government has decided to repeal the Punjab Regulation of Service Act 2019 which allows the regularization of contract employees.
The Punjab government will not recruit on contract basis on basic salary in the future. Contract employees will be recruited on lump sum salary basis in the future. Not regularizing contract employees will reduce the burden of salaries and pensions on the government treasury.
