The Pakistan Army is carrying out relief and rescue operations in the flood-affected areas of Punjab on a large scale, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
The army contingents have shifted thousands of people from Sialkot, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Narowal and Shakargarh to safe places.
General Officer Commanding (GOC) Major General Muhammad Imran Khan Babar has visited the flood-hit areas of Sialkot and reviewed the facilities being provided to the people in the relief and medical camps set up in the district.
During the visit, Babar was told that ration, clothes and medicines were being provided to the affected people, while at medical camps, immediate medical treatment was being provided to them.
