Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) Noshki President Abdul Rehman Lango was killed in firing by unidentified armed men near Kali Bhutto, police sources said on Sunday.
According to police, Lango was shot dead outside his residence near Kali Bhutto. The attackers, numbering around seven to eight, opened fire and fled the scene after the incident.
Police said investigations were underway from different aspects to determine the motive behind the killing and identify those responsible.
Lango was among the active political and social figures of Noshki. Besides serving as a BAP office-bearer, he was chairman of Union Council Bagak.
Police and other relevant authorities were investigating the incident, while further details were awaited.
