Three people including two children and a woman were killed and seven others injured when a cylinder blast exploded inside a car at Sachal Goth near Regional Meteorological Office in Karachi on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Rescue teams shifted the injured persons to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Karachi SSP (East) Sajid Amir Suddozai said the LPG cylinder exploded in the car which also caused a traffic jam on the University Road.
Police have launched further investigation into the incident.
