A fire broke out at a private bank branch on MA Jinnah Road in Karachi, prompting an emergency response from firefighters who successfully brought the blaze under control.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel report, fire brigade officials said cooling operations were continuing to ensure the fire did not reignite.
As per the initial report, the fire started in electrical wiring near the bank's ATM area.
The flames later reached the ATM section, causing minor damage to the machine before firefighters contained the blaze.
Fire brigade officials said emergency crews cut through the bank's shutter to gain access and prevent the fire from spreading further inside the branch.
Their swift action helped stop the flames from reaching other parts of the building.
The electricity supply to the bank was disconnected as a safety measure, while bank staff arrived at the scene to assist emergency responders.
Officials confirmed that the fire was fully extinguished and no injuries were reported.
An investigation into the cause of the incident is expected, while cooling operations remain under way to eliminate any remaining hotspots.
