Veteran Pakistani actor Babar Ali has earned praise from fans after sharing a refreshingly honest perspective on ageing, saying that accepting the passage of time is far more important than trying to hide it.
During his latest appearance on ‘Mazaak Raat’, the seasoned actor spoke candidly about growing older and explained why he has never been afraid to acknowledge his age.
"I think I accepted this reality very early in life that nothing lasts forever. We should all accept that only Allah is eternal; everyone else has to grow older," he said.
Speaking about actors trying to maintain a youthful appearance, Babar Ali admitted that some of his contemporaries use more hair colour than he does, jokingly adding, "I use a little colour, while others use a lot more," a remark that left the studio audience laughing.
Clarifying his own approach, the actor said he only colours his hair when a particular role requires it. Otherwise, he has no issue embracing his natural appearance.
"I do use hair colour sometimes, but only because certain roles demand it. Otherwise, if my hair turns white, that's perfectly fine. At this age, I can't realistically look like the romantic hero opposite very young actresses," he remarked.
Babar Ali further emphasized that ageing is a natural part of life and that actors should embrace it with dignity rather than resisting reality.
