The Balochistan Healthcare Commission has banned unauthorised reporting, photography and video recording inside hospitals across the province, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Friday.
According to the report, the commission has also announced that legal action will be taken against anyone found violating the new directive.
Dr Bismillah Kakar of the Healthcare Commission said that sensitive areas of hospitals were frequently being covered without prior permission.
He explained that such activities breach established regulations and interfere with the normal functioning of healthcare facilities.
Dr Kakar further said that filming videos and interviewing patients without authorisation have a negative impact on the performance of doctors, nurses and other medical staff.
He added that the commission is committed to protecting patient privacy while ensuring that healthcare professionals can carry out their duties without unnecessary disruption.
The commission warned that anyone who ignores the ban or violates the regulations will face legal proceedings in accordance with the law.
